Our story…
At the I Have Resolve Foundation, we are dedicated to advancing inclusion for individuals with disabilities through awareness, education, and meaningful support. Our mission is to ensure that every person—regardless of physical, social, developmental, or learning needs, including those shaped by disability, learning differences, or experiences of trauma—has the opportunity to live, learn, work, and thrive as a valued member of their community.
Rooted in our three pillars—inclusive education, classroom supports, and expanded opportunities for individuals with disabilities—we strive to create environments that promote belonging, safety, and equitable participation. Through our Inclusive Education initiatives, we partner with schools and camps to deliver programs that build empathy, respect, and leadership while helping students understand diverse abilities andlife experiences. Our Classroom of Resolve project equips educators with sensory tools, adaptive seating, regulation supports, and communication devices to create responsive learning environments where all students can succeed. Our Opportunities pillar focuses on supporting active participation and creating joyful experiences that reduce social isolation, foster confidence, and strengthen community connections.
While our efforts prioritize individuals with disabilities, our initiatives benefit all children and youth by cultivating more collaborative, compassionate, and resilient learning environments. Inclusion supports not only those who face barriers, but also students with diverse learning needs and lived experiences, as well as their peers, families, and educators. When environments are designed to be inclusive and trauma-informed, everyone benefits.
The Foundation began after the deeply personal loss of our son to Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Inspired by his resilience and spirit, we built this organization with the belief that every individual should be recognized for who they are—not their disability, diagnosis, learning profile, or life circumstances. Our work is his legacy, and it continues to drive our commitment to building communities where no one is left out or left behind.
Our vision is a society where inclusion is not an exception but the norm—where individuals with disabilities anddiverse needs feel safe, valued, and connected, and where joy, belonging, and opportunity replace isolation. We envision schools, camps, workplaces, and neighbourhoods where every person is respected, supported, andempowered to thrive. By fostering environments of empathy, belonging, and shared experiences, we aim to create communities that are stronger, more compassionate, and truly inclusive for all.
