Run with PHS, or Donate to our PHS Run Team to Support Food Security

Through the 2026 Under Armour Eastside 10K, PHS Community Services Society (PHS) is aiming to raise $30,000 to support our essential Vancouver Food Program expansion, which currently provides more than 3,900 meals every day—over 2,000 of them hot—365 days a year. These meals support people living in PHS supportive housing, shelters, and community programs who do not have access to kitchen facilities or cold storage to safely keep and prepare their own food.

Food insecurity is rising at an alarming rate. Grocery costs have increased by more than 30% in the past five years, pushing already‑vulnerable people further into crisis. As inflation continues to outpace income supports, many individuals experiencing homelessness or deep poverty are losing access to the food programs they rely on. At PHS, we’re seeing growing demand every day—and we need your help to keep up.

Founded in 1993, PHS is a registered charity providing low‑barrier supportive housing, shelter, health care, harm reduction, and community services to thousands of people with complex needs in Vancouver and Victoria. With over 2,100 supportive housing and shelter units, PHS supports people affected by homelessness, substance use, mental health challenges, brain injuries, and systemic poverty. We are widely recognized for Insite, North America’s first legal supervised consumption site, and for our leadership in compassionate, evidence‑based care.
