Course overview: Just minutes from Rotorua’s centre, the towering California Redwoods create a trail network unlike anywhere else in New Zealand. Our course winds through these majestic giants, their soaring trunks filtering dappled light onto soft forest floors and fern-filled undergrowth. With a mix of wide avenues and flowing singletrack, every turn brings a new perspective of this enchanting forest. Famous for its beauty and accessibility, the Redwoods are a playground for walkers, runners, and riders alike — a truly iconic trail destination.
Suitable for: Great for a weekend adventure away in Rotorua. The long course is a good distance for the trail runner looking for a challenge! The mid course is a good distance day out of keen walkers and runners whilst the short course is an easy loop great for first timers and all fitness levels.
