This year the Pride & Remembrance Run turns 30, and it's also my 15th time doing the fundraiser race, easily one of the highlights of my Pride every year!
This year's beneficiaries are some vital new and ongoing programs supporting queer communities:
Canvas Arts Action Programs' Stronger Schools, Safer Futures, shifting school culture in the Peel Region to help build up queer youth
Casey House's weekday lunch program, serving over 300 meals a day (!) to people living with and at risk of HIV
The 519's Pride Across Generations, delivering weekly programming to queer youth, elders, and families
I'm running again with team QRC (Queer Run Club) this year, one of the great queer run clubs in the city, and the place I found an amazing community of runners (and humans), and started running more (instead of just for a month before the Pride run each year).

The pride & remembrance run is dedicated to lifting up and raising funds for important 2SLGBTQ+ programs in the GTA.
These 4 incredible non-profit organizations are doing amazing work in the 2SLGBTQ+ community. The beneficiaries for this year’s run are: the 519, Casey House, Canvas Programs, and the Pride and Remembrance Foundation.

It’s fast and easy to donate, and tax receipts will be issued for every donation over $20. Every donation matters, as we try to reach our goal of raising $350,000 this year! The projects and initiatives that these organizations are developing will make a difference to so many members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and the community would be so grateful for your donation.
