My Story…
This year, I’m running in the Pride and Remembrance Run as an expression of something that has been quietly shaping my life for a long time: a calling to create spaces of belonging and radical hospitality.
I believe, deeply, that everyone deserves a place where they can arrive as they are—without explanation, without apology—and be met with care. A place where stories are honoured, where laughter and grief can sit side by side, and where community is not something you have to earn, but something you are welcomed into.
That kind of space doesn’t happen by accident. It is built, slowly and intentionally, through small, faithful acts: remembering someone’s name, setting an extra place at the table, choosing kindness again and again. It is sacred, ordinary work.
So this run, for me, is more than just kilometres on a route. It’s a small, embodied way of showing up for a world where belonging is real and tangible. A reminder that love moves—that it carries us forward, even when the road feels long.
I’m not the fastest runner—but I am committed. Committed to the quiet work of welcome. Committed to a world where no one stands on the outside wondering if there’s a place for them.
Thank you for being part of that vision with me.
