My Story…
I am running in honor of my mom's cousin, Dominic D'Souza who passed away in 1992. When I was 16 years old, Dominic D'Souza was arrested and quarantined when diagnosed with AIDS in Goa, India. This had a significant impact on me. After 64 days in confinement he was released and began advocating for people living with AIDS. A few months before his death, he registered a charity called Positive People to support people living with AIDS. You can read about him Dominic D'Souza - Wikipedia.
