My Story
With almost dying of Liver Disease due to a covid shot and recovering from covid. My goal was to run the 5 km with my daughter in 2026. She made me proud in 2025 and I told her I was going to run in the 70 year old Category. I am determined to train hard and make a dream come true.
Description
This year’s Oasis ZooRun is raising funds and awareness for Blanding’s Turtles!
With a fundraising goal of $110,000, every dollar raised will help support the Toronto Zoo’s Blanding’s Turtle Headstart Program and its new home inside the Community Conservation Centre.
By supporting my fundraising efforts, you’re helping provide a dedicated space where Blanding’s turtle eggs can be safely incubated and hatchlings cared for before they are released into the wild. This new space will also give Zoo guests the opportunity to see the hatchlings up close and learn firsthand about the vital conservation work happening at the Toronto Zoo.
