My Story…
In January 2025, my world hit a standstill. My dad went to the hospital with all the signs of a heart attack. We were braced for bad news about his heart, but what the doctors found instead was a total fluke: a tumor on his pancreas that shouldn’t have been caught yet.
They call pancreatic cancer the 'silent killer' because most people don’t get a warning sign until it’s too late. My dad’s heart attack scare ended up being the literal 'save' of his life. On April 1st—no joke—he went into major surgery to have that cancer removed, along with his spleen and half of his pancreas.
Watching him go through that recovery wasn't easy, but seeing him get back on his feet (and back on his feet to run this event) is something I’m incredibly proud of. I’m joining his team because I know how lucky we are to still have him here.
I’m walking to make sure more families get the 'accidental' miracle we did. Every dollar helps. Thanks for supporting my old man and our team.
