Mon histoire…
A couple of years ago, our lives were turned upside down when my father, known as “Poppy” to our kids, was diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer.
It is an aggressive disease, often found too late. After multiple scares, we got a bit of hope. His tumour had shrunk just enough for surgery.
The surgery was a success, and we do not take that for granted.
We know how rare that outcome is. Many families do not get more time.
That is why we are running.
We are running for families facing this diagnosis, for those in the fight, and for those who have lost someone they love.
Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates, especially here in Newfoundland. What our family experienced feels like a miracle, but it should not take a miracle.
If you can support, your donation helps fund awareness, research, and patient support in Canada. It helps give more families a real chance.
Thank you for being part of this with us.
