Three years ago, my world changed when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It’s a journey filled with uncertainty, challenges, and moments that test you in ways you never expect—but also one that has shown me the strength and resilience of my family. That’s why I’m taking part in the Kickn PancreAS 5K walk/run. This organization supports patients and families through peer mentoring, financial assistance, and healthcare education, while also raising awareness for earlier detection and funding critical Canadian research. This race is not just for my mom—it’s for every Canadian who has experienced this devastating disease.
