Stanley Park Ecology has been a registered charity since 1988, dedicated to education, conservation, and research rooted in Stanley Park. We work to protect one of Canada's most visited urban parks, connecting people with nature through hands-on stewardship, ecological research, and community education.
Our stewardship teams work year-round removing invasive species, restoring native understory, and helping the forest stay healthy and resilient, work made possible by volunteers who contribute thousands of hours each year through programs like our Dedicated Invasive Removal Team and EcoStewards. Alongside this restoration work, we deliver curriculum-linked field trips and public programs that build ecological literacy and inspire lifelong stewardship, from children to seniors to visitors exploring the Park for the first time.
Every dollar raised through this race directly supports this work: healthier forests, greater biodiversity, and a stronger connection between people and the natural world, within Stanley Park and beyond.
