About
Why Run Mt Hutt?
Spectacular Views: Run through stunning native bush and climbing to alpine heights for panoramic views over Canterbury.
Challenging Terrain: This race isn't for the faint-hearted. The steep ascent and descent will push you physically and mentally.
Unique Experience: Be part of the first-ever Run Mt Hutt, a race that combines natural beauty with the excitement of an alpine challenge.
What to Expect

- Medals and Prizes: Finishers will receive a custom Run Mt Hutt Medal, and the top 3 finishers in each age category will be recognised.
- Eco-Friendly Event: We are committed to preserving the environment. Please respect the trails, this will be a cup free event. Eco friendly cups can be purchased when entering or at CJM'S Events Online Shop.

Cut Off Times:
In the Inaugural year we didn't want to have Cut Off times but after discussions, we have come to the conclusion that we do require cut off time for everyone's safety and logistics in packing out and prize giving.
Cut off times will be as follows:
- 6km - 10:00am
- 12.5km - 12 noon (Ski Field turnaround)
- 19km - 1:30pm
- 25km - 3:00pm
Prize Giving:
This will be at the Awa Awa Rata Reserves the start Finish and will be 10 minutes after the last participant has finished or approximately 3:00pm but hopefully much sooner as it is hard to estimate the slowest times in the inaugural event.
