The 9th Annual USAT Sanctioned Fox Lake Sprint Triathlon 
Picture yourself coming down the finish line at LakeFront Park after finishing your race. You'll have swum 750 yard triangle course in Nippersink Lake triangle course - 2 inflatable duck turns and a swan finish. Then bike the 12 mile bike route with a few rollers and some straight shots to get up some speed. Then run 3.1 miles on an out and back course with over 2 miles on a paved bike path. Picture perfect!
Individual and relays welcome!
Parking within 2 blocks of transition. Finish line within steps of transition. Great spectator event in and around the course.
Typically wetsuit legal, always no draft bike, and flat and fast run. USAT official will be on the bike course.
Registration will close on Friday, June 5, 2026 - 7:00 p.m.
Time trial starts every 5 secondsFINISH LINE food, festivities, and awards will be done near when the last person has finished.

So you want a refund huh? Well lets make it simple. A FULL refund (less the processing fee) can be issued prior to Tuesday, May 19, 2026. After that time no refunds will be issued. Our Inaugural year (2017) was such a hit - we're back for more. Over the years we've tweaked the course and event to maximize your racers experience. Come find out what the fun is all about.
The swim course is a 750 yard triangle with buoys on the left side. Two turns include our famous 'Ducks' and a finish with the swan (think Duck Duck Goose). The 12 mile bike course is a rolling hills with some continuous roads for a fast bike. The run is an out and back mainly on an asphalt path for 3.1 miles. Finish line party will be loud and fun. Listen for your name as you cross the line.
Enjoy the music at the end of the race with food for all racers. Awards will be done close to the last finisher. Awards will be distributed by 'mature' age groups before the younger crowd. So don't leave too soon.

RULES and what you need to know!
- The Lake County Triathlon Series will be limited to 50 participants.
- Entry into the Series is for the SPRINT Triathlons for each location.
- Participants who attempt to register for all three races separately WILL NOT be eligible for the Lake County Triathlon Series.
The entry fee for participating in the Lake County Triathlon Series is non-refundable.
Each Lake County Triathlon Series participant will receive:
A Fox Lake, Lake Zurich and Wauconda Triathlon race shirt (or swag), swim cap, race bib number, helmet number, bike number, timing envelope/chip/strap and swag from the race.
Those who officially start and finish all three events will earn commemorative 2026 “Lake County Series” medal. (If any race changes to a virtual race - times will be included in the overall series.)
- Cumulative time is tabulated from all three events, with top female and males earning Lake County Triathlon Series OVERALL winner at the end of the Wauconda Triathlon.
- Lake County Triathlon Series participants will be eligible for age group awards at the Fox Lake, Lake Zurich, and Wauconda triathlon.
