Join us on Saturday, October 3 for the 9th Annual Cougars 5K Run/Walk benefiting the charitable programs of the Kane County Cougars Baseball Foundation, Inc.
Held at Northwestern Medicine Field, the Cougars 5K Run/Walk is a unique event for competitive runners and families looking to enjoy a memorable morning at the ballpark. Runners, walker, families with strollers...all are welcome! There's no better way to end a race than right at home plate. Participants will receive a high-five from Ozzie and Annie during the final turn, while getting a look at themselves on the video board as they cross the finish line.
Children up to the age of 12 can participate in the Inside the Park Dash, a roughly half-mile fun run for only $5. Ozzie and Annie will also be waiting for them at home plate to hand out high-fives.
Following the race, all participants will enjoy a complimentary brat or hot dog and beer for those 21 and older. Additional post-race snacks will be provided.

Race Packet Pick-Up: Race packets can be picked up on Friday, October 2 from 9 AM until 5 PM at Northwestern Medicine Field. Packets can also be picked up on race day from 7:45-8:45 AM at the ballpark.
Age Groups and Award Categories: Overall Male and Female Finisher. Top three male and female finishers in each age group will receive medals.
Top 3 Male and Female finishers:

- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60+
Goodies: Register by September 25 to be guaranteed a 2020 Cougars 5K t-shirt. All participants will receive a ticket voucher for a 2021 game.
Safety: Strollers are allowed. We ask that those with strollers accommodate other participants by starting the race near the back of the group.
Refreshments: Water and Gatorade will be provided near the start/finish line and along the race. Post-race refreshments will be provided, courtesy of the Cougars.
Schedule of Events:

9 AM – Run/Walk starts at Northwestern Medicine Field
