The Morgantown Marathon goes into its 6th year continuing to promote health & wellness in our community, while also showcasing the beauty and hills of our great state of West Virginia. The Morgantown Marathon has supported Operation Welcome Home since day 1, an organization that provides Jobs Resources For Veterans, and has helped over 600 veterans find full-time job placement since 2012.
26.2 Almost Heavenly Miles through Morgantown WV, a challenging course that tests both physical and mental strength. With almost 2000 feet of elevation gain, it is not being advertised as one of America's 10 Fastest Courses, but will be a race with beautiful views and unique local flair that you will not soon forget. You will traverse through all 7 Wards of this unique city, experiencing quiet country roads, a run through the West Virginia University Campus, and experience a finish to a full marathon unlike any other.

Join us for the 2021 Mountain Mama 8K on Sunday, October 10th, 2021. This 8K (4.97 mile) road race will begin at the WVU Coliseum, starting with a fast launch down Patteson Drive before rolling through the Suncrest neighborhood behind Krepps Park, then back to the coliseum. This is sure to a great race for all skill levels to enjoy during the 6th Annual Morgantown Marathon Weekend Experience!
