About Mesothelioma
Mesothelioma is a malignant tumor of the lining of the lung, abdomen or heart caused by exposure to asbestos. Medical experts consider it one of the most aggressive of all cancers. For decades, the need for research to develop effective treatment has been ignored.

Washington State has one of the highest number of cases of mesothelioma in the nation.
Despite its well-documented dangers, you may be shocked to learn that asbestos has yet to be banned in the US. Doctors and scientists agree asbestos is a carcinogen and there is no safe level of exposure. Congress can and should pass legislation to ban asbestos-containing products and fund educational and research programs.
