My Story…
Hi, this is Hyder. I'm trying to raise money for the Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children, by participating in the Mercedes Benz Oakville 5K run.
The Lighthouse is a registered charity providing peer support – completely free of charge -- for grieving children and their families in the Halton and Peel area who have lost close family members, often in traumatic circumstances. The Lighthouse is a forum for companionship and learning with others striving to cope with the loss of a mother or father, brother or sister.
The Lighthouse is currently bursting at the seams so it needs to move from its tiny home on Wilson Street to a larger home that will accommodate twice as many families in need. Please find out more about the Lighthouse at www.grievingchildrenlighthouse.org.
