My Story…
I'm running 5km on Sunday, April 26th as part of "Team Steph" in support of "The Lighthouse".
When I was 20 years old and living on my own in Montreal, I lost my sister, Debbie, to a tragic car accident. She was only 17 years old. If there had been a "Lighthouse" to turn to for support, it would have helped me understand my loss, and through the grieving process. It is for this reason that I support the "Lighthouse" as much as I can. Thank you for YOUR generous support for the new teen room, "Steph's Place".
The Lighthouse is a registered charity providing peer support – completely free of charge -- for grieving children, youth and their families in the Halton and Peel area. The Lighthouse is a forum for companionship with others learning to cope with the loss of a mother or father, brother or sister.
