Help Lydia raise money

The sudden and unexpected loss of Mike in April of 2013 reminded of us of how precious life is. We were gifted on so many levels with the memories of an incredibly engaged husband and father, someone who understood the value of being in the moment and lived it whole heartedly. We were also gifted with the discovery of Lighthouse – a center for grieving children, youth and their families. In it, my girls found a place where they felt safe, comforted and supported in their journey. Their experience with LH wasn’t heavy or sad; rather, it was uplifting and energizing in the caring and considerate approach of the volunteer facilitators. More often than not, the car ride home would be filled with lively conversations about their activities at LH (which is music to a parent’s ears given the silence that the loss of a loved one can bring). As a family we are proud to be part of this great community that offers understanding, stability and support to others throughout their healing journey. T
