Raise money for Lubec Community Outreach Center
The LCOC seeks to identify, develop and implement effective, sustainable programs that are responsive both to the strengths and needs of our community.
Support from runners will enable us to expand our sliding fee scale for the children of Lubec and Campobello residents who wish to participate in our six week Summer Recreation Program. This program offers enriching and educational activities, which include physical activity, the arts, music, local ecology, nutrition education, and numerous field trips. In 2014, 78 children participated, 7 local teens were trained and hired, and over two thousand meals were served with the USDA Summer Meals Program.
