Our story…

AS A FAMILY, GOD HAD BEEN IMPRESSING UPON OUR HEARTS A CALLING THAT SEEMED QUESTIONABLE. No, inconceivable. Expensive! The word itself even triggered doubt in our hearts. Adoption. To promise to love, and raise as our own, a child that wasn't born of our flesh. "Isn't this contrary to the law of nature?", we asked. But, did Christ not set the first example of this sacrificial type of love? "In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ". In the book of Esther, Mordecai says to his adopted daughter, "Perhaps you were born into the kingdom for such a time as this." We believe that what comes from God doesn't always make sense, but His timing is perfect, and "he will give you the desire and the power to do what pleases him." There is a child who was born for such a time as this! One who was born, not flesh of our flesh or bone of our bone, bone, but heart of our hearts.
