W/E Sports Hall of Fame

The Windsor / Essex County Sports Hall of Fame (WECSHOF) is a non-profit sports heritage organization committed to celebrating and sharing the rich local sports heritage of Windsor and Essex County.

Through the encouragement of excellence, enhancing awareness, showcasing heroes, and inspiring healthy lifestyle choices, WECSHOF is focused on leaving a legacy to empower generations to come.

The “WECSHOF Home Project” broke ground in 2013 at the Windsor International Aquatic & Training Centre (WIATC), thanks to a solid partnership with the City of Windsor and other generous project partners and donors.

This new central home emphasizes education, interaction, and community collaboration, and nicely compliments satellite sites at the WFCU Centre and Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex.

“Phase one” of the WECSHOF Home Project is now complete. An over-sized glass display case, containing cherished and unique possessions of our sports heroes, is now on display for our community in the WIATC atrium.

Your generous donation will help us complete “Phase Two” – a wall of interactive terminals that will contain resources such as Hall of Famer bios, photograph and video archives, trivia, and games. Prepare to be inspired!

Donations of $20 or greater will receive charitable tax receipts.
