The Cancer Center of Southwest Oklahoma's comprehensive Breast Cancer Program will focus on the whole continuum of breast cancer to include: prevention, genetic counseling and early detection for those at high risk, through the entire process of diagnosis, treatment, reconstruction and lifetime management. Other features of the new service include a breast cancer Fast Track to achieve the goal of taking a patient from their initial mammogram, to diagnosing and creating a breast cancer treatment plan within two days! Their hope is to identify and diagnose abnormal results immediately in order to get our patients on the road to a cure without unnecessary waiting and worrying. Most importantly, this new technology will allow us to detect and diagnose up to 30% more breast cancers in their earliest stages, when treatment is most effective and successfully treated.
