The Giro Della Costa Centrale presented by VisitAvilaBeach.com offers participants a Classic Italian Cycling Festival with four timed rides through the beautiful California Central Coast. Enjoy scenic coastal and wine country vistas, in 70 degree fall weather over rolling miles of clean open road. The event weekend kicks off with a Saturday 3-5pm Pro Panel Reception featuring Bob Roll & Dotsie Bausch in the wine cellar at Custom House Avila Beach.The course travels through the heart of SLO Town, up the prestine coastline and over epic eye candy climbs. Our post-ride Festivale Italiano offers five star Northern Italian cuisine from Buona Tavola, award winning local wines, craft beers and live music. Traditional Giro PINK jerseys go to all top M/f riders and the classic polka dot KOM jersey goes to the King & Queen of the timed Perfumo Canyon climb on the Fondo route. The event weekend benefits The Alpha Foundation and The Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital.

Additional Information
Each ride will be bib timed for personal tracking. These are RIDES, not races, so please follow all legal rules of the road for safety. There are six aid stations along the multiple routes, each with Italian Food theme! We'll also provide water, FLUID sports drink, CLIF Bars and CLIF Shots for energy, fruit, salty snacks and some sweets.
SRAM Bike mechanics will be available prior to and post ride for quick tune-ups, as well as on all routes for support and sag. A FREE bike valet will be provided on race day so you can prepare for your ride and relax afterwards with friends and family. Bring a change of clothes/shoes in your Left Lane Sports drop bag we provide.
All riders will receive a high quality cotton Giro Della Costa Centrale commemorative shirt, a hot Italian Buona Tavola lunch, timing from ChronoTrack, course mechanical and medical support with registration. Beer and wine are available for purchase at the Festivale Italiano afterward. Collectible Steve Thomas Art jersey, Steve Thomas Art cap & Art poster or canvas all available for sale online now.
