Raise money for Squamish Food Bank

The Squamish Food Bank is a non-profit, charitable society. We provide supplemental groceries to those in need in our community. Hundreds of residents rely on our services every month, including individuals, families, single parents, seniors and people suffering from physical, mental or addiction challenges. In 2015 we averaged over 450 visits every month. Every year, 4,800+ hampers of food are distributed.  Over 30% of those recipients are children.

Our Food Bank provides access to food for all in times of need. For some it is short term but for others we are a long term support, especially in recent times where costs of food and cost of rent seriously affect decisions around nutrition. After all the bills are paid, often groceries are the last on the list of things to spend money on.

Supporting families with children is a vital part of our service, we provide an extra bag of snacks for families to supplement school lunches. In the near future we would like to increase the amount of other nutritional foods to these families as well.
