Our story…
Who would have ever known that my personal and professional life would be touched by autism?
Laurie Snyder, President of Families for Effective Autism Treatment - North Texas (FEAT-NT) and I started off in the tool business together over 15 years ago. When her son was diagnosed with Autism, I soon realized that she was working with my cousin Mika Bradford who was a FEAT-NT board member at that time.
I am now the administrative assistant at FEAT-NT. On any given day you will find me posting about FEAT-NT's events, workshops, family fun days, our annual conference and of course our annual Every Step for Autism 5K and family Fun Day. Many people don't know it, but a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to support a local autism community of parents, teachers, and professionals. Sometimes it may not seem like much but FEAT-NT supports over 3000 people each year.
