My Story…
This event is dear to my heart: in 1998, my only brother Nathan passed away of an inherited heart disorder leaving 3 small children who are potential carriers.
In 2003, I married an amazing man who also has an inherited heart disorder, which means there's a 50% chance our son may have a cardiac disorder. I want people to know about HCM, DCM, Marfan's Syndrome and other inherited cardiac disorders that often lead to sudden cardiac death. Awareness can help prevent future deaths. Stanford's team of doctors and genetic counselors is one of the best in the world – please help me raise awareness by supporting this Team.
