My Story…
Join me in funding life-saving research and treatment in the Stanford Center for Inherited Cardiovascular Disease!
This year I am running and fundraising in honor of my dear patient and friend, Leilani.
In 2003 as a young teenager Leilani had a cardiac arrest on her home treadmill. It turns out she had a rare inherited heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, but didn't know it. A few weeks ago Leilani underwent heart transplant. She went through multiple open heart surgeries and is now on the road to recovery. Leilani is one of those people that just captures your heart. Her spirit is so strong and she is so vibrant.
This year I dedicate my 10k & my fundraising to Leilani's spirit, her new heart, and her recovery.
