Through individual pledges and participation, and through the support of many generous corporate sponsors, The Fall 5 KM Classic has become a successful annual fundraising event. It is our objective to organize a fun, safe and healthy athletic event for the citizens of Waterloo Region and beyond, while maintaining a community responsibility to local charitable organizations and their causes. Registration Options
REGISTRATION POLICY: All entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable. There are no exceptions once a person has registered.
PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINES

- Drop off: At Runners’ Choice, 55 Erb St. E., Waterloo by Tuesday October 18, 5:00 p.m.

After these dates, entries will only be accepted at Kit & Chip Pickup. All entry fees increase by $5 after pre-registration.

Race Start - Fast Courses
5KM - 9:30 a.m. Race starts at Resurrection Catholic Secondary School and finishes in Waterloo Park.
10KM - 9:30 a.m. Race starts at Resurrection Catholic Secondary School and finishes in Waterloo Park.
200m - 11:15 a.m. Starting and finishing in Waterloo Park
Directions to Waterloo Park: From Hwy #401, take Hwy #8 West to Hwy #85 Waterloo to University Ave. W. to Westmount Road North. Left on Westmount Road North to entrance to Waterloo Park.
SHUTTLE BUS DETAILS:
We recommend that participants park at Sun Life Financial, 50 Westmount Road North, take the shuttle bus to the start at Resurrection Catholic Secondary School and then run back to the finish. Shuttle buses begin at 7:30 a.m. The last shuttle bus leaves at 8:50 a.m. Runner’s gear will be transported from the start line to the finish line at Waterloo Park and stored in a supervised area. Gear must be picked up by 11:30 a.m. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen articles.

There are no shuttle buses after the race to take participants back to the start.
There is limited parking at the race start at Resurrection Catholic Secondary School. Drop offs are permitted.
Course Details and Information
DUE TO CONSTRUCTION, THE NEW RACE START IS AT RESURRECTION CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL, 455 UNIVERSITY AVENUE WEST, KITCHENER.

Each KM is marked and is clearly visible. Times will be called at the 5 KM mark of the 10 KM. Water Stations: 1 on the 5 KM course / 3 on the 10 KM course. Courses are certified distances. Courses are subject to change pending official approval, course certifications, or construction issues.
Time Limit:
The time limit to complete the course is calculated at 10 minutes per kilometer. Starting at the half way mark, if a participant does not reach a km mark by this calculated time, the participant will be asked to move to the sidewalk and finish the race as a pedestrian, unassisted by race support. Participants are asked to familiarize themselves with the course route if this situation might be a possibility to them. We wish to minimize traffic disruption caused by our event, and value the support of Police services regarding participant safety, and trust you understand our position.

We appreciate everyone's busy schedule, and thank you for making the time to participate in our event. In order to help you get on with your busy day more quickly, as soon as the final results are calculated, participants can pick up their age/weight class/team category medals. No more waiting through a long awards ceremony. Of course, all unclaimed medals will still be available for pickup at Runners' Choice any time after Monday October 31, 2016.
10 KM & 5 KM EVENTS - medals to (no duplication):
Top 3 overall Male and Female, Open & Masters (age 40 plus)
Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age and weight category, and
1st place team in each Team Category.
Prize money ($100) will be awarded to the top Open team in any timed event in which there are at least 5 eligible teams in the official results.
New for 2016 - INCREASED PRIZE MONEY - 10 KM & 5 KM EVENTS ONLY (no duplication in prize money awards)
5 KM - Prize Money will be awarded to the top 3 overall Male and Female: 1st - $300 | 2nd - $150 | 3rd - $75 and $150 to the top Male and Female Master (age 40+).
