I'm very excited to be participating in Run for Retina this year! Not only is this my first 'run', but the opportunity to raise funds for such important research is both personally and professionally significant to me. With an extensive family history of Macular Degeneration, I've seen first hand how low-vision and eye disease can impact one's quality of life. I've been fortunate to spend my career working in eye healthcare and witnessing the positive impact that education and early detection can make. The impact of vision loss is not just a personal challenge, but one that touches the lives of family, friends, and the community.
