My Story…
On Friday, May 6th, I was sworn in as a volunteer for C.A.S.A. of Erie County, NY (Court Appointed Special Advocates). The mission of CASA volunteers is to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Courts. Many times these foster children are dealing with caseworkers who have hundreds of other children on their caseload as well. CASA volunteers are assigned to one child that they speak to one-on-one and advocate on behalf of.
Currently, there are over two hundred children on the waiting list for our CASA program, with dozens more waiting to be referred to the program. Your donation of even five dollars can be a great help as we aspire to hire more paid staff which in turn will allow us to reach even more children.
