1973, that was the year that the Supreme Court ruled on Roe v. Wade, allowing women the right to have an abortion. 2000, that was the year I had my abortion. It was an easy decision for me, I knew that I was not ready to be a mother. And thanks to the brave women fighting before me, I was able to make this very personal decision about my health and the trajectory of my entire life. But the war is back on and women are losing. In Minnesota, six anti-choice bills have been introduced. One that would shut down four of the five abortion clinics in the state. 2015, abortion providers are struggling to stay open, women are asked to navigate an obstacle course of waiting periods and restrictions.
