My Story…
I am a community-based Occupational Therapist at the awesome and amazing FunctionAbility Rehabilitation Services. In my work, I have seen firsthand how the lives of clients and their families can change in an instant with a traumatic brain injury.
When entering back into the community survivors are hit with the reality of what it means to live with a brain injury day after day, month after month and year after year. As survivors and their families travel through the shock, disappointment, guilt, and frustration of the recovery process, the Brain Injury Society of Toronto (BIST) provides needed workshops, support groups, and peer support.
Any funds you pledge will go towards making a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of brain injury survivors. Anyone who would like to donate cash in person is welcome to contact me to make arrangements. Donations of $20 or higher are eligible for tax donation receipts, but every dollar counts!
