Our story…
Wellness in the Schools (WITS) inspires healthy eating, environmental awareness, and fitness as a way of life for kids in public schools.
Your generous donation will help us impact the lives of 3,500 Novato Unified School District Elementary students by making it possible to reach every child during the school day with cooking and nutrition labs provided by our Wellness in the Schools Chefs.
WITS Labs introduce students to the importance of healthy eating and seasonal ingredients, inspiring them to share their newly acquired knowledge with their families. Programs like these have been shown to positively influence children’s food preferences and behaviors, according to recent studies.
Your donation goes directly to purchasing cooking equipment and materials that will allow us to double our reach from 4 elementary schools to 8 elementary schools.
