It's time to get outside, spread the word, take care of our furry friends and help rescues who work tirelessly to make a difference in our community! Join us for a 5km run or walk either flying solo or with your furry companion to raise money for local rescues. This year's race is focusing on Marley's Hope Dog Rescue!

Race Requirements

SAFETY FIRST

As the safety of both our two-legged and four-legged participants is of extreme importance to us at Tail Chase, please be aware that we have requirements set in place to ensure a safe environment for everyone on race day.

Canicross Requirements:

  • Four-legged participants are required to wear a harness for the race.
  • Owners are required to use a hands-free leash.
  • Halties and collars of any kind attached to a leash are not permitted.

Runners with Pets:

  • Four-legged participants are not permitted to wear a choke collar or haltie attached to a leash of any kind.
  • Though it's not necessary, for the safety of you and your dog we strongly recommend a harness and a hands-free leash for your race.

Harness Rental:

Harness rental is available based upon date of registration if needed. You'll be prompted to let us know during your registration process and we'll be sure to reach out to you prior to race day about your rental availability! If you need to rent a harness, please arrive with a photo ID. This will be returned to you once your rental is returned.

Policies

Because this race is a fundraiser for local, non-profit rescues, we will not be accepting refunds or transfers at this time.
