Our story…
We walk to celebrate the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area, once a dump site, and now a lush riparian corridor. There are more than 200 species of birds and other animals in Rio Salado's varied habitats from wetland ponds to mesquite bosque to cottonwood/willow forest. We walk to experience and celebrate this restored nature while getting outdoors for a mindfulness exercise and connecting people to place.
