Our story…
On July 19th 2016, baby Olive Mackett was diagnosed with bilateral Retinoblastoma – a rare form of eye cancer almost exclusively found in young children. While it is difficult, if not impossible, to imagine how a parent contemplates this, the Mackett family has already courageously traveled to Toronto for treatment at SickKids. They have traveled 15 times for monthly chemotherapy, and surgical procedures. Treatment would not be financially feasible without the support of Ronald Macdonald House in Toronto. The Mackett family stays there when possible. The Mackett family would like to give back to Ronald Macdonald House for all the help they have received in the ongoing battle to beat Olives cancer.
