The Tri de Spice is Grenada's biggest triathlon. We have competitors from all over the world, of all ages and abilities. There is a race for everyone. Grenada also happens to be one of the most beautiful, unspoilt places in the world, which is why we hold the event during a school break, giving everyone a chance to come see it. Sprint Courses
Please note: The Sprint race can be done as a relay. Athletes CANNOT do both individual and relay.
SWIM - Athletes will swim 750m, which will be held in the calm waters around the marina. Spectators and Athletes will have a great view of the Swim Course from docks at the marina. Water temperatures are expected to be around 81° Fahrenheit (28° Celsius). The transition between the swim and bike will take place in the Port Louis Main entrance.
BIKE - Athletes will do a 20km bike ride. The bike course will be on closed roads along the Kirani James Boulevard and Carenage. Along the course, the athletes will enjoy marina views as well as our historic St. George's on a flat but technical course.
RUN - The running course will take athletes on a 5km run around the Kirani James Boulevard with the Marina on one side and the hills on the other to enjoy along this flat course.
Try-a-Tri / Junior Courses
SWIM - Athletes will swim alongside the docks in the calm and protected waters around the marina. Spectators and Athletes will have a great view of the Swim Course from docks at the marina. Water temperatures are expected to be around 81° Fahrenheit (28° Celsius). The transition between the swim and bike will take place in the Port Louis Main entrance. Note: 6& unders will swim in the Marina pool.
BIKE - The bike course will be on closed roads along the Kirani James Boulevard. Along the course, the athletes will enjoy wonderful marina views on a flat but technical course. Note: 6& unders will bike along docks at marina.
RUN - The running course will take athletes back around the Kirani James Boulevard. Note: 6& unders will run along marina dock.

Prizes
All sprint prize winners will receive one of our very unique and sought after prizes. They are hand made, unique pieces specifically made for this event. Prizes go to the top 3 in most categories including overall winners, national champions, five different age group categories, relay winners and mountain bike category (sprint only). Some of our winners will also receive prize money.
There are also prizes for the top three individual and relay winners in all 5 junior categories and the Try-a-tri.
