Ally's Legacy

Ally Michelle Hooten was, as her family called her, "The Total Package." An astute student in the classroom, a fierce competitor on the court and field, and an ambassador for Jesus to everyone she knew. Ally lit up a room with her beautiful smile and infectious laughter. She was a beloved daughter, sister, friend and so much more.

Ally, age 16, was called home to be with Jesus on January 7th, 2017 as the result of a tragic ATV accident.

It was a dream of Ally’s to practice and play in a home gym at her school, Wylie Preparatory Academy. Her parents, Jana and Steve Hooten, wish to honor Ally and continue her legacy by raising funds exclusively for Wylie Preparatory Academy for the sole purpose of building a gym in their daughter's honor.  To date, the Challenge 22 Campaign has raised close to $250,000 to make Ally's gym a reality! 

This gym will not only be the home for the Wylie Prep Patriots but it will be a place to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The hope of the Hooten family is that Ally’s legacy will serve as an outreach to kids through the ministry of sports, teaching students that true victory is through salvation in Jesus Christ!

The Lord has had His hand on Wylie Prep as student enrollment has steadily increased through the years. Without a home gym, Wylie Prep must rent gym space off campus which is costly and inconvenient.  A gym for Wylie Prep is more than a frivolous desire, it is a true need for a growing school with a competitive athletic program.

Wylie Preparatory Academy is a University Model school situated on a beautiful 14-acre campus in the Dallas suburb of Wylie, Texas. For over 15 years the mission of Wylie Prep is to partner with families developing Christian character through excellence in education. 

Ally's Legacy is about more than the gymnasium.  Ally loved the Lord and wanted others to experience the same joy she found in knowing Him.  To date, hundreds of souls have been saved and  thousands of lives transformed through Ally’s story and legacy. Thank you for supporting this outreach and helping to raise funds for Ally's Legacy.  This is a non-profit event and all proceeds will go to Wylie Preparatory Academy.  All donations are tax-deductible.
