Our story…
Hello, friends and family! For those of us who know us, we have enjoyed participating in this walk each year in honor of my son, Wesley! We have been walking for Easter Seals N. GA for 8 years in a row! We cannot thank the lovely people at Easter Seals enough for helping Wesley reach his full potential! Wesley has a very rare medical condition called Prune Belly Syndrome (www.prunebelly.org) which effects his abdominal muscles, urinary tract, and gross/fine motor skills. He has had 6 surgeries---1 of them lasting over 8.5 hours! He was only 4 years old when that last surgery was completed. He has done amazingly well thanks to his very early start with Easter Seals! He receives a scholarship through Easter Seals which helps to pay for medical bills, medications, tests and ultrasounds, and regular follow-up with his doctors. Wesley's condition will require a life-time of follow-up. He is my personal hero and a true success story! Thanks, Easter Seals!!!
