About Us

Wishes change lives forever. The Guelph Wish Fund for Children has raised over four million dollars since it was founded in 1984. 

These funds have helped fulfill the wishes of over 330 children, providing hope, joy and strength to these children and their families. While the children are provided with special moments and truly wonderful memories, many of their stories are heart-wrenching. We lose at least one child each year to their illness.

The Guelph Wish Fund for Children provides wishes and support to children under the age of 19, residing in Guelph or Wellington County, who have serious illnesses, severe handicaps, or who have been critically injured.

When a need arises in the community which clearly supports our mandate, the Guelph Wish Fund for Children may choose to provide financial contributions to other charities. The Guelph Wish Fund for Children has supported the Guelph General Hospital, KidsAbility, Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre, and The Coping Centre for Bereaving Families.

A strong community is defined by those who give selflessly to others. We could not have accomplished so much without the unwavering support of our community, families, and friends. On behalf of our Board of Directors, we can’t thank our community enough for the generosity it has shown.
