Join us for a 5K Fun Run/Walk, a family festival with trick-or-treating and an open bike/skate along the new Tollway.
The Illinois Tollway is partnering with the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) to celebrate the opening of the eastern segment of the Illinois Route 390 Tollway.
This unique family-friendly experience is a one-time opportunity to Trick, Trot and Roll along the new Tollway – we look forward to celebrating with you! Costumes are encouraged.

Additional Information
The 5K Fun Run/Walk provides participants with a unique opportunity to experience the new Tollway before it opens to traffic. This 3.1 mile closed course leads participants west under the Wood Dale Road Bridge, the opportunity to conquer a steep hill on the roadway, and back east towards O’Hare International Airport. Run with your friends in costume as planes soar overhead.
Proceeds from the 5K Fun Run/Walk will benefit the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) and its initiative to expand, motivate, support and celebrate the running community of Chicagoland and its neighborhood parks by building communities and encouraging active lifestyles through running and volunteerism.
SIGN UP EARLY! You must register by October 10, 2017 to be guaranteed your shirt size!
Race Day Registration and Pickup:
Registration is open at 7:30 a.m. Cash or checks are accepted for on-site registration..
Gear Check:
Gear check will be provided, or guests can opt to pick up their race shirt after the event. Gear check is intended for light belongings and non-valuable items. Bag will be subject to inspection. Please, no large duffle bags or valuable items.
