My Story…
I am running this 10K for my little friend William who at only 2 years old fought for his life battling a very rare type of Leukima. By race time he will be a year post transplant. I want to celebrate the milestone with this race. I want to honour Williams fight by doing something physically challenging. I want to do something physically difficult as an homage to his mother, who has had to overcome the most mind blowing obstacles since this all began. I have never seen such a graceful display of strength. William is still recovering, and the road will continue to be bumpy. This time last year we had real doubts he would make it. He was so sick, I truly would never wish that on anyone. This year he is running around with his brother and Foxley! It is amazing! I am so grateful to watch the three of them cause trouble! The proceeds of this event go to Camp Ooch, William has benefitted from Camp Ooch and it has been a beautiful thing. I am proud to raise money first such a kick ass charity! Thanks for pledging! It is going to be an amazing day!

Help send kids affected by cancer to Camp Ooch!
Camp Oochigeas (Ooch) provides children with and affected by childhood cancer with what they need most – the chance to be a kid. Ooch is the only residential camp in Ontario to offer on-site IV chemotherapy and blood transfusions providing access to campers in active treatment the friendship and fun of Camp. Operating 365 days a year, Ooch offers programs at a residential camp in Muskoka, at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), three other regional cancer centres and at Ooch Downtown in the heart of Toronto.
As a registered charity that receives no government funding, Ooch relies exclusively on the generous support of fundraisers, individual and corporate donors like you.
