My Story…
A year ago, one of my dearest friends who lives near Ottawa told me her daughter had been diagnosed with leukemia. It has been the hardest year of her life, and it's not over. She needs support - and sometimes she just needs time off.
Camp Ooch offers that kind of support. But they don't have many programs in Ottawa yet. Camp is magical for kids like Ivy and her brother Finnigan. It is transformative. Someday, when they are old enough, I hope Ivy and Finnigan will have a chance to experience the sheer joy that is camp. But that will only happen if we keep raising funds for Camp Ooch to keep doing more of what they do - and in Ottawa too! Please donate, so they can.
On May 14th, I'm running 10K - not walking, but running. That's big for me! I'm running for Camp Ooch, but I'm also running for Ivy, her brother Finnigan, her Dad BJ, and - on Mother's Day - I'm running for Melissa. One of the best moms I know.

Help send kids affected by cancer to Camp Ooch!
Camp Oochigeas (Ooch) provides children with and affected by childhood cancer with what they need most – the chance to be a kid. Ooch is the only residential camp in Ontario to offer on-site IV chemotherapy and blood transfusions providing access to campers in active treatment the friendship and fun of Camp. Operating 365 days a year, Ooch offers programs at a residential camp in Muskoka, at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), three other regional cancer centres and at Ooch Downtown in the heart of Toronto.
As a registered charity that receives no government funding, Ooch relies exclusively on the generous support of fundraisers, individual and corporate donors like you.
