My Story…
Since leaving active duty in 2016 I have searched for an outlet to allow me to continue to serve. As many of you know leaving behind the comrade and support of the military lifestyle can leave one feeling a bit empty and even lost. While I know I made the best decision for our dual military family I knew I needed to fill that void. After my husband deployed in October 2017, I came across this crazy fit amazing group of moms called Stroller Strong Moms or SLAM (sweat like a mother). It’s so much more than fitness and it has overfilled any void I had. Carrying on with the military tradition of being your best, doing your best and building up those around you I am excited and a little terrified, hmmm reminds me of all my military training, to participate in Run Across Georgia with this amazing group. Over Memorial Day weekend 2018 we will begin in Savannah, GA and run the 260 miles to Columbus, GA relay style along backroads and highways.
