Raise money for The Villages Regional Hospital Auxiliary Foundation
The Hearts for Our Hospital Bicycle Challenge is a partnership between The Villages® Regional Hospital Auxiliary Foundation ("Foundation") and the Sumter Landing Bicycle Club. With Title Sponsors Quest Diagnostics and David's World Cycle helping spearhead the way, the event helps to raise funds for the Foundation - a 501(c)(3) organization - to accomplish its goal of providing financial assistance to The Villages® Regional Hospital. The Foundation works closely with The Villages® Regional Hospital to prioritize the spending of funds raised. Funds raised through the Hearts for Our Hospital Bicycle Challenge are used in the acquisition of capital equipment as well as the delivery of medical education scholarships for students pursuing two- and four-year degree programs at the post-secondary level in the medical and allied health care fields. These scholarships are in the amount of $2,000 per student and automatically renew for two or four years, based on the students degree program, assuming the student maintains an acceptable level of academic performance.
