You can read the RACE DAY DETAILS ONLINE HERE.
You'll fall in love with San Francisco all over again as you follow this hilly loop trail circumnavigating Angel Island. Along the way, savor the panoramic vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Alcatraz Island, the East Bay and Marin County. The 10K (slightly long at ~6.5 miles) is a single loop. The Half Marathon does the loop twice. The event is limited to 400 participants so don't wait too long to register!
UPDATE: Please note that if you have done this event in the past, the course has changed slightly again and we are no longer using the perimeter road so the whole course is 100% back on the trails. Check out the new course map below.
COURSE CUT-OFF TIME: 3 HOURS (13:45min/mile pace for Half Marathon, 29:00min/mile for 10K). Hikers/Walkers are welcome to participate in the 10K.
NOTE: Half marathoners MUST make the turnaround (before heading out onto loop 2) by 1 hour 20 minutes race clock time or they will not be allowed to do a second loop. We need to be on the 1:20 pm ferry and cannot risk missing it.
COURSE MARKINGS: The course will be marked with orange ribbon wherever you need to cross a trail or make a turn.
AID STATIONS: There are no aid stations out on the course. There will be aid available for the Half Marathon before the second loop. We highly recommend that you carry water. There will be food/drink available at the finish as well.
INCENTIVES: T-Shirts for all participants. Rubber chicken to the first place overall male & female in each distance. Personalized award ribbons to the top three finishers, male and female, in each age group for all distances which will be mailed out a few weeks after the race.
BIB NUMBERS: Bib numbers will be mailed out to participants beginning two weeks before the event. If you do NOT receive a bib prior to race day, you will pick one up on race day morning. If you did not supply a valid mailing address when you registered, or if your mailing address has changed, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
PARKING: can be found in Tiburon parking lots from $4-10/day. The closer you are to the ferry dock, the more expensive the parking.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Google Maps Link to Ferry Dock.
CANCELLATIONS: Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you email us by November 8, you may receive a rollover credit (the amount you paid minus a $10 fee) to use toward any future Enviro-Sports race.
HEADPHONES POLICY: Since parts of this race include very narrow trails with steep drop-offs along the course, it is imperative that runners can hear each other in order to pass safely, even if they are running at a slow speed. For safety reasons (and for the enjoyment of your fellow runners) headphones (and any other audio devices) are NOT allowed.
A special chartered ferry departs from the Tiburon ferry dock (21 Main St., Tiburon, CA 94920) at 8:30am. Athletes MUST take this ferry to participate in the race. No ferry from San Francisco will get you to the race on time.
Ferries depart FROM Angel Island back to Tiburon every hour at 20 minutes past the hour.
Encourage your friends and family to come cheer you on and enjoy a day on the island.
Ferry fees for spectators (to be paid at the ferry dock on race day morning):
$15 Adults (ages 13 and over)
$12 Children (ages 6 - 12)
$5 Small Children (ages 3 - 5)
