Vi Kan Ro! (Norwegian for "we can row"!) Cancer sucks. We all know it. But my friend Terry not only knows it, she lives with it. She fights it every single day. For over four years she has been fighting a rare form of melanoma cancer. She does it with guts, no glory. Well, "no glory" isn't maybe quite the view from the universe or God's point of view. Terry sets so many examples of tapping the best in our God-given image and nature. Through Terry, we are reminded of the power of laughter, perseverance, treasuring work, family, friends and community. We are reminded we are made to move our bodies, we are made to hope, love and dream. She is a fierce warrior who to this day is a witness to the power of love and an athletic life - it saves lives.
