Our story…
Welcome to Rena's Rockers. My friends and family members have joined me to raise awareness about mental illnesses, reduce stigma and help raise funds for NAMI Rockland, an organization near and dear to my heart. I walk because mental illnesses are no-fault equal opportunity disorders that strike people of all ethnic, religious and socio economic backgrounds. I walk because I have a son with serious mental Illness. I walk because NAMI Rockland (National Alliance on Mental Illness of Rockland County) and the Mental Health Association of Rockland County are two important groups that help individuals and families impacted by these disorders.
