For participating in Virtual ICP Walk/Run to Fight the Itch

Our story…

During my pregnancy with Isaac I was diagnosed with ICP (intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy) after noting to my doctor how severely itchy I was. I was treated and induced early as the likelihood of a still born is increased after 37weeks. During my pregnancy with Evelyn I was diagnosed at 13 weeks, I became very ill and was hospitalized due to severe cholestasis (no amount of medication was making it manageable) and she was born via c section at 32 weeks for her safety. Isaac did not become an angel directly due to cholestasis but it is part of his story as ICP increases the risks of respiratory distress at birth; Evelyn is continuing to do well but her prematurity is directly due to cholestasis. Many doctors know little about ICP and even those that do there is so much still unknown. We are raising money to help fund research and education for ICP. Hopefully someday no family will leave th hospital with empty arms from this disease.
